RIO/EVO will be temporarily suspending all operations for at least 7 days

As you know, information and updates about the Covid-19 pandemic have been changing by the day if not by the hour since Wednesday night.

If you have been tracking my emails to our customers, you know I have been a proponent of “businesses as usual” until we see more of a problem here in Arizona.

You also know that I have promised to monitor the situation and make responsible decisions day by day. After listening to Governor Ducey’s remarks to the public this afternoon (suspending all school and large public gatherings) it has become clear that out of an abundance of caution it has become necessary to stop the potential spread of the virus. The safety and well being of our staff and customers is my top priority.

As such, we will be temporarily suspending all operations for at least 7 days. We need time to collect more data in order to make the best possible decisions going forward. If there is an understated problem, it’s going to take everyone’s help to fight the spread so we can get back to normal life as soon as possible. If the problem is overstated, then we will just reconvene our normal schedule.

At this time, we will just press pause. All students will remain in their classes and we will issue credits toward future classes for any classes not conducted this week. I will be in touch in 5 to 7 days as we collect more information and data.

Please stay vigilant, wash your hands, stay home if you feel ill, and remember to practice social distancing until we have more information.

Take care and be well,

David Tait
