POINTS & AWARDS

Points for each swimmer will be tallied and accumulated for each of our four regular season meets. “All-Around High Point”
awards will be presented at the beginning of our league season finale meet on November 1^st.

REGULAR POINTS will be scored in the following manner:
8 points for 1^st place in your heat
7 points for 2^nd place in your heat
6 points for 3^rd place in your heat
5 points for 4^th place in your heat
4 points for 5^th place in your heat
3 points for 6^th place in your heat
2 points for 7^th place in your heat
1 point for 8^th place in your heat

BONUS POINTS will be scored in the following manner:
1 bonus point for each swimmer participating in heat one
2 bonus points for each swimmer participating in heat two
3 bonus points for each swimmer participating in heat three
…and so on (your heat number corresponds to your bonus points allotted)

OVERALL PLACE POINTS will be scored in the following manner:
5 additional points for 1^st, 2^nd, or 3^rd overall place for a particular event
4 additional points for 4^th, 5^th, or 6^th overall place for a particular event
3 additional points for 7^th, and 8^th overall place for a particular event

NOTEABLES:

• Ribbons will still be awarded at the end of each race at every meet
• Points will be awarded for the 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13 & older age groups
• 8 year old swimmers can swim 25 or 50 yard races but not more than 4 races per meet. Points from either distance will be accumulated towards their total scores for 8 & under awards at the end of the season.
• 100 yard time trials and relays will not be scored
• Only Top 3 in 13&Ov Age Groups will get All-Around High Point Awards

ALL-AROUND HIGH POINT AWARDS:
1^st place = 1^st place medal, t-shirt with #1, & cap with “top 8”
2^nd place = 2^nd place medal, t-shirt with #2, & cap with “top 8”
3^rd place = 3^rd medal, t-shirt with #3, & cap with “top 8”
4^th place = medal & cap with EVFL “top 8”
5^th place = medal & cap with EVFL “top 8”
6^th place = medal & cap with EVFL “top 8”
7^th place = medal & cap with EVFL “top 8”
8^th place = medal & cap with EVFL “top 8”
